Panes let you open files, artifacts, and knowledge items in persistent, per-conversation views alongside the agent conversation.

Opening Panes

Method	Shortcut
Quick picker	Cmd/Ctrl+P or click "+" in the conversation header
New pane	Cmd/Ctrl+Click opens in a new pane instead of replacing the current one

Pane Management

• Resizable -- drag pane borders to adjust size
• Splittable -- split panes horizontally or vertically
• Drag-and-drop -- rearrange panes by dragging their headers

TIP

Use Cmd/Ctrl+Click to open items in new panes when you want to compare files or view an artifact alongside the code it describes.
